Avoiding Fees

Neither account has any monthly fees to worry about. There is no early account termination fee but you do need to keep your membership open for six months otherwise you will be charged a $5 fee.

Our Verdict

Only the business $300 bonus is really worth considering as the additional $200 for a personal account requires a loan or credit card and that would result in a hard pull. None of their credit cards are worth considering either. How good the business bonus is will likely depend on what the opening requirements are and how long it takes. If anybody has any experiences with this bank then please share them in the comments below.

For now we won’t be adding it to our list of the best business checking bonuses.

Hmm somewhat interested here, there’s not a branch in my city, but there is one 2 hours away near my parents. If they allowed mobile deposits, then I could make this work since just depositing a check of $5k 1 time/month for 2 months would be fairly easy. If anyone knows if they allow mobile deposits please let me know. Maybe I’ll call Monday to find out.

The other somewhat concerning criteria is “Any business EIN that has been paid a business checking incentive will not qualify for the $300 incentive”. That’s got to mean, a bonus earned with them…right? How could they possibly know if my EIN has received a bonus from some other bank? Or is there a way they could know that? Because then, I’d definitely be disqualified.

I am a member of this credit union but I do not have a business so I don’t know if they allow mobile deposits on business accounts. They do offer the service on personal accounts with a $5,000 daily maximum deposit limit. As far as them knowing about bonuses at other banks, there is no way they would know that. I am certain they mean you can’t get this bonus if you’ve ever gotten a bonus from them under an EIN.

I know that the personal accounts require a hard pull on your credit report, EX. I am unsure if it is the same for business accounts, though.
